Positive Productions presents Chris Berry & Pangea July 4 at Mt. Shasta Resort Positive Productions presents the conscious, infectious dance music of Chris Berry & Pangea and special guest Grammy nominee Gentle Thunder at Mt. Shasta's Annual 4th of July Fireworks Party on the scenic lawn of The Mt. Shasta Resort, 1000 Siskiyou Lake Blvd., Mount Shasta, CA. Tickets are only $2 at the gate and all proceeds benefit Mt Shasta's Annual Fireworks Fund. “Chris Berry picked up where Paul Simon left off,” explains Michael Kang, guitarist, violinist and mandolin player for The String Cheese Incident. “Chris’ music glides across all racial and ethnic lines making everyone feel at home within the music. The conscious lyrics are a road map for humanity and Chris is one of the few people able to carry this message to a wide audience.” Berry’s story “sounds like it was written by a Hollywood script writer” (Steve Leggett, All Music Guide). Maybe that is because it is hard to believe that a California white boy moved to Africa, became a spirit caller, and went on to sell over a million records in southern Africa, where he still sells out stadiums. Now he is positioned to do the same in America. The LA Times raves “bombastic beats, phat brass and revolutionary lyrics! If you don't dance - you will!” Gentle Thunder - Mt. Shasta's GRAMMY® nominated multi-instrumentalist (hammer dulcimer, drums and Native American flutes), enchants audiences worldwide with her distinctive sound and heart-filled presence. Eric Alan, Music Director for Jefferson Public Radio states, "Beyond Words with GRAMMY® nominees Will Clipman & AmoChip Dabney, beautifully transcends genre as well as words. Together, these three create a gorgeous musical journey that’s a sharing of deep spirit more than a mere performance. Peaceful, uplifting and unique.” Since its debut, Beyond Words was recognized as 2006 GRAMMY® nominee for Best New Age Album, spent the year in the Top 100 New Age Reporter charts, and was nominated Best Native American album by New Age Reporter Awards.
